Rénovation d’un hôtel – restaurant en lieu de vie urbain
Le Lieu-Dit is the renovation and enhancement project of a hotel located a few steps from Nantes city center. The goal of this project is to create a new destination, an urban place to meet to share a meal, have a drink or spend a few nights - whether with family or friends. The current hotel is characterized by a patchwork of buildings from various eras: a former tax house, an agricultural shed and a modern four-storey building. The renovation project is based on the old hotel courtyard created by this assemblage of buildings. This new garden at the heart of the hotel articulates the different spaces of the project: the rooms, the restaurant, the bar, the coworking room and the grocery store - this urban garden works as a lung for the hotel. The renovation of the ground floor aims to create new links between the street and the green heart of the hotel. It helps to fluidify the circulation by creating new porosities throughout the hotel. On the upper floors, the project offers the opportunity to rethink the comfort and the service offered to create playful and welcoming spaces. The hotel of tomorrow is built around a the idea of reusing and recycling the actual ressources. To this end, as many existing components and furniture as possible will be renovated and upgraded in order to be reintegrated into the Lieu-Dit of tomorrow. For this purpose, a maximum of existing components and furniture will be refurbished and recycled to be reintegrated into the Lieu-Dit. Through the frescoes produced by the Toqués Frères, the facades become a space for expression and dialogue with the city, an invitation to discover the sheltered spaces of the hotel.
Le Lieu-Dit est le projet de rénovation et de valorisation d’un hôtel situé à quelques pas du centre-ville de Nantes. L’objectif de ce projet est de créer une nouvelle destination, un lieu de vie urbain où se retrouver pour partager un repas, boire un verre ou passer quelques nuits – que ce soit en famille ou entre amis. L’actuel hôtel est caractérisé par un assemblage hétéroclite de bâtiments d’époques variées : une ancienne maison d’octroi, un hangar agricole et un immeuble moderne de quatre étages. Le projet de rénovation s’appuie sur l’ancienne cour de l’hôtel créé par cet assemblage de bâtiments. Ce cœur d’ilot végétalisé articule les différents espaces du projet : les chambres, le restaurant, le bar, le coworking et l’épicerie - ce jardin urbain est le poumon de l’hôtel. La rénovation du rez-de-chaussée vise à créer de nouvelles articulations entre la rue et le cœur d’ilot. Elle permet de fluidifier les circulations en créant de nouvelles porosités à travers l’hôtel. Dans les étages le projet offre l’opportunité de repenser le confort, l’offre de service des chambres pour en faire des espaces ludiques et accueillants. L’hôtel de demain se construit autour d’un projet de réemploi et de recyclage. Dans cet objectif, un maximum de composants et de mobilier existants seront rénovés et valorisés afin d’être réintégrés dans le Lieu-Dit de demain. A travers les fresques réalisées par les Toqués Frères, les façades deviennent un espace d’expression et de dialogue avec la ville, une invitation à découvrir le lieu de vie abrité au cœur de l’hôtel.
